Balanced nutrition is key to achieving physical and emotional wellbeing, and the effects of the seasons and times of day are important issues also considered in the ALPINE HOLISTIC® concept. It has been said that body, mind and spirit unite in culinary delights – and we have taken this to mean that the Ritzenhof hotel und SPA am See’s cuisine should be conducive to wellbeing, health and happiness.

Start the day with our vitality breakfast buffet, hot food is also available to order. At lunch, take your pick from two soups and a buffet with fresh salads while afternoons are sweetened by our patisserie’s cake buffet temptations. Round off the day with a five-course gourmet dinner: choose between meat, fish and a vegetarian main-course options. We are always happy to meet our guests’ special nutritional requirements and preferences.

Passion and craftsmanship

The catering team at Ritzenhof loves its job.
It is their passion for the profession, and appreciation of nature and its products, that allow them to serve culinary highlights every day.

Skills have been learned from scratch, some of the team have already been awarded 'stars' and 'chef's hats' during their careers. Training in nutrition and a knowledge of food intolerance, and how to deal with it, are a standard part of the professional approach at Ritzenhof.

And the team is motivated by the challenge of cunjuring up the best possible culinary delight from every product.

Our regional producers

What we normally serve you was until a short time ago in the field or swimming in water:

  • Fresh, fragrant herbs from our own herb garden
  • Meat from Laböck, a local organic farmer
  • Fish from Grundner’s fish farm in Saalfelden/Leogang
  • Milk from the Pinzgau Milch dairy
  • Honey from the Höttl beekeepers in Saalfelden
  • seasonal fruit and vegetables

Plus, cheese – and a delightful schnapps supplied by Herzog Siegi, the superb distillery next door.

This means produce is either served directly at the table, or conserved in accordance with well-proven traditions, e.g. in salt, as pesto, bottled or in our own smoke-house.«
